Premium Membership - Terms of Use

Premium Membership Rules

These Premium Membership Rules (these “Rules”) supplement and do not replace the ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB Terms and Conditions of the Membership (the “Terms and Conditions”). Capitalized terms used and not defined in these Rules shall have the meanings set forth in the Terms and Conditions.

  1. General
    1. ​A Members may upgrade his/her standard membership (the “ Standard Membership”) to the Premium membership tier (the “ Premium Membership”) by paying the applicable Premium Membership tier fees. The term “Premium Member” means A Member who has purchased a Premium Membership.
    2. The Premium Membership program is for the personal use of Premium Members and cannot be assigned, transferred, or otherwise disposed of without the prior written consent of ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB. The Premium Member may not use the program for commercial purposes, or monetary or other consideration, including without limitation, auction, barter, rental, raffle or sale of a guest certificate, etc. reserves the right to limit the number of transactions by a Premium Member.
    3. Certain Premium Membership benefits are only available online.
    4. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may at any time and without advance notice, discontinue or change any benefits provided as a part of the Premium Membership program in its sole discretion.
    5. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may amend these Rules from time to time in its sole discretion without advance notice to Premium Members.
    6. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may, but shall not be required to, offer additional benefits as part of the Premium Membership program. Such benefits may include, but are not limited to, advance access to acquired inventory, rebates and/or discounts on other products and services. Any additional fees which may be required, and the availability, type, and quantity of such benefits shall be determined by ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB in its sole discretion and may change from time to time without advance notice to the Premium Member. Benefits may be subject to additional terms and conditions and other restrictions may apply. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may discontinue offering or administering any such Premium Membership benefits therein at any time in its sole discretion and without advance notice.
    7. The Premium Membership program and certain benefits of the Premium Membership program are only available in certain countries, including those benefits provided by third parties. If a Member purchases a Premium Membership in a particular country and resides or thereafter moves to another country where a different version of the Premium Membership is available, the Premium Membership benefits available to such Premium Member will be only those available in the latter country. If a member purchases a Premium Membership and resides or thereafter moves to another country where the Premium Membership is not available, such Premium Member may cancel the Premium Membership. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may provide the Premium Member a pro rata refund, if applicable. The Standard Membership (as applicable) will remain unchanged as a result of this cancellation.
  2. Cancellation or Termination of the Premium Membership
    1. A Premium Member may cancel his/her Premium Membership at any time. In such event, the Standard Membership shall remain unchanged. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may cancel or terminate an individual’s membership in the Premium Membership program at any time in its sole discretion.
    2. In the event of cancellation by the Premium Member or termination or cancellation by of the Premium Membership:
      1. (a) The Premium Member shall forfeit all benefits and/or rights he/she has or may have in relation to the Premium Membership; and
      2. (b) The Premium Member shall pay any charges, costs or expenses, including but not limited to, any outstanding Premium Membership fees, reservation fees, cancellation/penalty fees or fees including those described in Section 4.3 below that are properly due and remain unpaid at the time of termination or cancellation.
    3. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, a Premium Member shall not be permitted to cancel his/her Premium Membership while a reservation is pending on his/her account (“Active Reservation”) until the start date of the subject reservation has passed or expired, unless:
      1. (a) The Premium Member cancels the Active Reservation. In such event, standard cancellation policies and fees may apply; or
      2. (b) In the event, the Premium Member wishes to retain the Active Reservation, then the Premium Member will be responsible to pay to the difference between the discounted reservation which was made available to the Premium Member under the Premium Membership program and the reservation price at the time of cancellation
  3. Benefits
    1. Ten Percent (10%) Discount on High Demand Resort Inventory
      1. Premium Members are eligible to receive a discount in the amount of ten percent (10%) off the non-sale, Standard Member price of select high demand (“High Demand”) resort inventory, as determined by ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB in its discretion. High Demand inventory includes inventory with peak travel times, larger units and frequently sought-after destinations.
      2. High Demand resort inventory is limited. Destinations and travel times are subject to availability and confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. High Demand resort inventory offers include only accommodations and specifically exclude travel costs and other expenses that may be incurred. Taxes, additional fees and charges may apply. All-inclusive resorts may charge a mandatory all-inclusive fee. Other restrictions may apply. High Demand resort inventory offers are void where prohibited by law.
      3. In order for a Premium Member to receive the discount on High Demand resort inventory, the applicable Premium Membership must be current and paid in full on the start date of the subject reservation.
      4. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may, at any time, in its sole discretion, change the qualifying criteria or the price of High Demand resort inventory, as well as the applicable discount amount.
    2. Discount on Resort Vacation Certificates (“RVCs”)
      1. Premium Members are eligible to receive a discount off the purchase of a standard-priced RVC.
      2. The terms and conditions stated on the RVC shall apply.
      3. In order for a Premium Member to receive the RVC discount, the applicable Premium Membership must be current and paid in full at the time the RVC is purchased.
      4. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may, at any time, in its sole discretion, change the price of the standard RVC for which the discount is provided, as well as the applicable discount amount.
    3. Last Minute Vacations Inventory
      1. Premium Members are eligible to receive access to select Last Minute Vacations inventory. The start date of the Last Minute Vacation must begin at least twenty-one (21) days or less from the check-in date.
      2. Last Minute Vacations inventory is limited. Destinations and travel times are subject to availability and confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. Last Minute Vacations inventory offers include only accommodations and specifically excludes travel costs and other expenses that may be incurred. Taxes, additional fees and charges may apply. All-inclusive resorts may charge a mandatory all-inclusive fee. Other restrictions may apply. Last Minute Vacations inventory offers are void where prohibited by law.
      3. In order for a Premium Member to receive access to Last Minute Vacations inventory, the applicable Premium Membership must be current and paid in full on the start date of the requested reservation.
      4. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may, at any time, in its sole discretion, change the price of the Last Minute Vacations inventory, as well as discontinue access to such Last Minute Vacations inventory.
    4. Priority Access
      1. Premium Members are eligible to receive access to select vacation inventory sales one (1) day before such inventory is made available to the Standard Membership tier, from time to time and in ’s sole discretion.
      2. Standard fees and Terms and Conditions apply to all inventory made available via Priority Access.
      3. In order for a Premium Member to receive Priority Access, the applicable Premium Membership must be current and paid in full at the time Priority Access is made available.
      4. Priority Access inventory is limited. Destinations and travel times are subject to availability and confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. Priority Access inventory offers include only accommodations and specifically exclude travel costs and other expenses that may be incurred. Taxes, additional fees and charges may apply. All-inclusive resorts may charge a mandatory all-inclusive fee. Other restrictions may apply. Priority Access inventory offers are void where prohibited by law.
    5. Shopping and Dining Reward Dollars (“Reward Dollars”)
      1. Premium Members are eligible to receive Twenty Five (25) Reward Dollars each month during the term of his/her Premium Membership. Reward Dollars may accrue during the term of the applicable Premium Membership.
      2. Premium Members can use the Rewards Dollars online shopping platform to access dining, shopping, and entertainment savings and deals that can be redeemed via a printed voucher or via a mobile device (where available) across the United States.
      3. In order for a Premium Member to earn and redeem accrued Reward Dollars, the applicable Premium Membership must be current and paid in full.
      4. In the event of cancellation or termination of the Premium Membership by either or the Premium Member, the Premium Member will be entitled to retain any vouchers already provided at the time the membership is cancelled or terminated. For clarity, in the event of cancellation or termination, the Premium Member will not be entitled to use any remaining, accrued but unredeemed Rewards Dollars but will be entitled to use vouchers that have already been provided.
      5. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may, at any time, in its sole discretion, remove or change the benefits provided as part of the Reward Dollars benefit.
      6. Reward Dollars are provided by a third party under contract with ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB. Reward Dollars are subject to additional third party terms and conditions, including those provided on the Reward Dollars redemption voucher and on the online shopping platform.
    6. Ten Percent (10%) Discount on Short Stay Inventory
      1. Premium Members are eligible to receive a discount in the amount of ten percent (10%) off the non-sale, Standard Member price of select Short Stay inventory. Short Stay inventory is available for less than seven (7) nights and is typically available for three (3) or four (4) night vacations.
      2. Short Stay inventory is limited. Destinations and travel times are subject to availability and confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. Short Stay inventory offers include only accommodations and specifically exclude travel costs and other expenses that may be incurred. Taxes, additional fees and charges may apply. All-inclusive resorts may charge a mandatory all-inclusive fee. Other restrictions may apply. Short Stay inventory offers are void where prohibited by law.
      3. In order for a Premium Member to receive the discount on Short Stay inventory, the applicable Premium Membership must be current and paid in full on the start date of the subject reservation.
      4. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may, at any time, in its sole discretion, change the qualifying criteria or the price of Short Stay inventory, as well as the applicable discount amount.
    7. Hotel Discount Store
      1. Premium Members are eligible to receive a discount off accommodations booked via the "Hotel Store" using their login and dedicate booking portal.
      2. The terms and conditions stated on the "Hotel Store" website shall apply.
      3. ARMED FORCES VACATION CLUB may, at any time, in its sole discretion, change the price of the "Hotel Store" for which the discount is provided.
      4. Hotel Discounts are provided by a third party and are subject to additional third party terms and conditions, including those on the "Hotel Store" website.
