Eastern Canada

Canada is one of the largest countries in the world, and with ten provinces and three territories, many visitors choose to visit Eastern Canada in particular. Eastern Canada consists of the provinces east of Manitoba: Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. Whether visiting the largely French-speaking Quebec or one of the most populous provinces, Ontario, this region has plenty of things to do.

A trip to the province of Quebec is an excellent place to start. The European influence is clear throughout the province and particularly evident in Quebec City. In Old Quebec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit the historic Citadel and other landmarks. In Old Quebec you have the opportunity to explore one the only fortified cities in North America. A trip to Parliament Hill is a must, and be sure to take in a view the city from the heights of the Observatoire de la Capitale.

In Ontario, you can experience the natural beauty of Niagara Falls and the Great Lakes, or you can experience more modern marvels in cities like Toronto. For the art enthusiasts, be sure to schedule a visit to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) or find a concert you'll enjoy at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Regardless of where you choose to visit in Eastern Canada, you'll likely want to come back soon! To experience more of Canada, visit one of our resorts in Western Canada.
